Did you know that the title of Messages can support emojis? Adding an emoji to the title can help to call attention to the Message on a user's device to encourage more Message opens. Learn how to incorporate emojis as part of your Message Strategy.
Go to the Messages section of the Mobile App Studio:
Click on the Menu in the upper left corner of the Mobile App Studio and select Send a message. Next, click on Compose to create a new message.
Add the Message Title:
Remember, the Message Title is what appears on the lock screen of a user's device as a push notification. You want the title to be compelling to encourage users to swipe on the notification to read the full message.
Add Emojis to the Title:
- Go to getemoji.com to find an emoji to copy and paste
- Paste the emoji into the Title field of the Message in the Mobile App Studio.
Add the Rest of the Message Details:
Share additional information in the Message Body and include actions in the Action Bar for users to take next steps. If you have Push Categories or Regions enabled, you can add those as needed. Next, select if you would like the Message to be sent immediately or schedule for a future date and time.
Things to Remember:
- Emojis are a great way to add color and call attention to an important message. Use them strategically to differentiate important or fun messages you want to make sure your users read.
- There is a space limit for the Message Title. Titles that are too long will be truncated on the lock screens of devices. Use the Lock Screen Preview in the Mobile App Studio to make sure your title is the right length after you add emojis.
