When we decide what devices to support we look at marketshare and make predictions off of percentages. Bluebridge apps currently work on iOS and Android devices, as they are the two types of devices that hold the majority of the market.
We support all iOS devices with an operating system of 8 or newer. To check this the operating system on a device, go to Settings > General > About.
Or you can go to Settings > General > Software Update. This will show users if there is a Software Update available. If not, it will display the current operation system version.
We support all Android devices with an operating system of 4.1 or newer. Because of the range of devices in the Android market, these instructions may vary from device to device.
To check the operating system, go to Settings > About Device > Android Version
Things to remember:
- Our Product and Engineering Team watches market values of devices to determine what we do and do not support. If a device acquires a large share of the market, or it is expected to, then we will support or consider supporting that specific device.
- We do not support Windows phones or certain Android tablets.
- We support operating systems 8 and newer for iOS, and 4.1 or newer for Android.
- If a user is having trouble downloading or launching the app, have them check their OS Version number as the first step in troubleshooting.
